I am Alireza Ahadian, born in February 1978 in Tehran. My father owned a shop in the porcelain and glassware market, and my mother was a mathematics teacher. Perhaps this blend of industry and education shaped my future path.
In 1995, I received my high school diploma in mathematics from Shahid Bahonar High School in Tehran and entered Meybod University the same year. I studied Materials Engineering—Ceramics and graduated in 1999. My student years were not limited to classes and lectures; I worked in porcelain factories and gained practical experience.
After graduation, I started a porcelain tableware workshop with my father, employing about 20 workers. During those years, I also learned kiln construction and built several shuttle kilns that we used in our workshop. However, with the influx of Chinese imports, many small workshops closed down, and ours met the same fate. This ending was a new beginning for me, filled with valuable lessons.
In 2004, I joined the newly established Marlik Tile Factory, initially as a production expert alongside Italian experts from Sacmi. Less than six months later, at their suggestion and management’s decision, I was appointed head of the laboratory and production. The presence of Spanish experts from Vidres in the glaze department further enriched my knowledge. In 2006, I was promoted to factory manager. Those years, I focused especially on training and developing human resources. Many of those who learned alongside me are now prominent managers in Iran’s ceramic industry or work in international companies.
In 2007, I took on an important mission: launching the newly established Ronas Semnan Factory. Together with the Italian expert Mr. Fausto Mongardi and a team of young workers, we brought the factory from zero to full capacity—producing 27,000 square meters daily. It was a unique experience that showed what collective effort can achieve.
From 2007 to the end of 2013, I managed both Marlik and Ronas factories simultaneously. My responsibilities spanned production, laboratory, body and glaze formulation, machinery design and commissioning, and more. In 2013, due to differences with shareholders, I left these companies.
In May 2014, I joined Sina Tile. Over seven years of factory management, I focused on restructuring and implementing management and quality systems. In 2021, after the retirement of the previous CEO, I was appointed CEO of Sina Tile and continue in this role.
I have also been active in industry associations. In 2025, together with a group of industry managers (Tabriz Tile, Marjan, Takceram, Firouzeh), we ran for the board of directors of the Iranian Tile and Ceramic Association. Although we resigned collectively after joining due to the lack of a suitable environment for transformative goals, we founded the "Iran National Brand" in the tile and ceramic industry to improve quality and structure. I am also one of the founders of the Iranian Ceramic Industry Excellence and Progress Award, whose first edition was held to establish scientific criteria for industry advancement.
